Our Changing Climate: A response to Jack and Finn Harries' video

I have been following Jack and Finn Harries' (aka JacksGap) YouTube career for quite sometime now, and my admiration for the two of them has increased even more. I am so proud of the content they have been creating lately, whether it's about mental illness or, what I'm going to speak about now, global warming. Their use of YouTube as a platform and the huge social media following is both humble and inspiring, and shows us how much our generation can, and needs to, make a difference if we allow ourselves to be informed. 

Recently Finn, along with his brother Jack behind the camera, teamed up with the World Wildlife Fund and travelled to Greenland to create a short film about Climate change, which I have included. During this video they discover what climate change is doing to our planet as we speak, and what we as individuals can do about it.

Ever since I was little I have wanted to make a difference in our world in terms of the environment, and especially animal cruelty and welfare (I'm sure I'll speak more about that in a future post), but wondered what just one person could do, especially without the funds to travel, or the qualifications to be taken seriously. Their thoughts and findings during this project fuelled my determination to be one voice of many who act to protect our planet. 

There are still people who live in denial about our planet's changing conditions when it's happening right in front of our eyes; freak storms and melting ice only to name a few. People may not think it's going to affect them now, but think about the world your children and grandchildren will live in. Think about all the species of animals that will become extinct when their habitat is burnt, melted, or deteriorated. 

We as a generation are so lucky to live in an age where we can have knowledge about these things, so let's be the generation that tackles the problem of global warming and makes a difference to the future of our planet. 
No one is too small to make a difference; each voice counts, and we all need to stand up and show our world leaders how much of an issue this is.
